The World is Upside Down First of all, we must say that the world was not always upside down, for a long time we lived well oriented. Yes sir! We just have to look at the codex, they always point to the right direction. The fact that we are not-oriented has a great impact that affects overall harmony. The North is the reference point for excellence, but in reality it's a very subjective point, we are not even pointing to a true north, the magnetic north, but a imaginary one. Measurements and charts had to be adjusted to fit this view point of the globe on a certain position. We are a sphere floating in space, How can anyone say north is "up"? The interpretation our grandfathers gave was pragmatic, they would see the sun and would know exactly where they were, this also has a cosmic order, sun is, by logic, who should go on top, this is the rightful place for Tonatiu. Our grandfathers were oriented, their works and project always pointed towards the Orient. ![]() So, in reality, we should not keep writing maps pointing North, there is not a valid reason to do it more than a western tradition. Our vision of cosmos has it's own charm and is a way to understand the world is made in a different way, to show the ones who are still asleep, the ones who hurt Mother Nature, the ones that have settled and fortified in a world made of injustice and lies, may they start to tremble, because we are going to put their world upside down! ![]() Get a poster of the Aztec calendarAllposters. ![]() aztec sun Edition #1: Year Day 6-Calli.
